The Shipley Alternative is a popular, occasional marketplace for creative makers, up-cyclers and other imaginative traders from the Shipley area.

The Shipley Alternative is on the following Saturdays in 2020:

The new market times are 10.30am to 2.30pm.

Admission is free.


Booking a stall
Stalls are now charged at £10 each (The Kids Take Over is £5).

It is important that you include the following in your email:
• Your name
• Your postcode
• a contact number
• your web address if you have one
• a description of your stall
• some photos of your products (essential)
• a short description of how you will help the market be a success

Our café offers freshly made meals and cakes, accompanied by delicious coffees, teas and soft drinks. It transforms the market into a busy social occasion, with people staying all afternoon to chat and meet friends.
The proceeds from the café supports the Shipley Alternative and other activities at the Kirkgate Centre.
